Privacy notice of the Psychology in Quotes project

Psychology in Quotes helps you search, save, create, translate, check, design and publish psychological quotes in the form of texts, cards, public pages and related materials.

The project may include:

• Telegram bot;
• a public showcase of quotes;
• pages of individual published quotations;
• cards for Telegram and web;
• translation and editing of quotations;
• personal library, favorites and collections;
• connection of the Telegram account with the future DETai web account;
• AI functions for design, classification, verification, translation and preparation of materials.

When a user interacts with a Telegram bot, the project can receive and process:

• Telegram user id;
• username;
• display name;
• interface language;
• messages, commands, button clicks and callback events;
• state of dialogue;
• access role, user status, script history;
• technical events, errors and logs necessary for the bot to work;
• data for connecting a Telegram user with a future DETai web account.

This data is needed for the bot to understand the user, save the state of the dialogue, create and edit materials, apply access rules, protect the service from abuse, and maintain a personal library.

The user can submit to the project:

• quotes;
• author's name;
• source;
• translation;
• own notes;
• comments on the quote;
• design options;
• images or visual settings of the card;
• selections and favorites;
• requests for publication or editing.

A submitted quote is considered a draft by default unless it has been explicitly published or gone through the publishing process.

The draft may contain an error, a personal note, an unverified source, inappropriate material, or data that should not be made public. Therefore, drafts are not published automatically.

A quote becomes public only after a publication decision, a manual user action with a clear publication status, editorial review, or another mechanism provided for by the project.

Published quotes can be displayed:

• on a public web showcase;
• quotes on a separate page;
• in Telegram channels and messages;
• in image cards;
• in image sitemap;
• in search engines;
• in public archives and collections;
• in the project's promotional materials.

A public quote may include quote text, author, source, translation, category, tags, visual card, publication date, slug, metadata, and other data required for display and search.

After the DETai web account appears, the project will be able to store the user’s personal library: favorite quotes, collections, action history, drafts, card settings and communication with Telegram.

A personal library is private by default. It should not become public without explicit user action, a publishing decision, or some other clear project mechanism.

Psychology in Quotes can use AI to:

• translation of quotes;
• improved wording;
• preparing cards;
• classification by topic;
• search for similar quotes;
• style and spelling checks;
• preparing SEO descriptions and metadata;
• moderation of inappropriate materials;
• creating draft publications.

AI may make mistakes about authorship, sources, translations, context, meaning of quotes, and accuracy of wording. The user and editorial team should review important material before publication.

The user is responsible for ensuring that the quotes, translations, images and other materials they send do not violate the rights of third parties.

The project may reject, hide, change or delete a quote if:

• the source is not specified or is doubtful;
• authorship is doubtful;
• the quote is distorted;
• the material violates the rights of third parties;
• the quote contains personal information, harmful, illegal or inappropriate content;
• publication may create legal, reputational or ethical risks.

The project strives to credit the author and source where possible and appropriate.

Should not be submitted to Psychology in Quotes:

• personal therapeutic requests requiring individual assistance;
• information about health, diagnoses, traumatic experiences or crisis conditions, unless required for the project function;
• personal data of other people;
• proprietary materials protected by copyright if the user does not have the right to use them;
• confidential documents;
• tokens, passwords, keys, payment information and other sensitive technical information.

Psychology in Quotes is a quotation, publishing and creative tool. It is not intended for psychological emergencies or diagnosis, and it does not replace professional advice.

Project web pages can process technical data:

• IP address;
• user agent
• device and browser type;
• request time;
• viewed pages;
• referrer;
• cookies or local storage, if enabled;
• Error, security and performance event logs.

This data is used for site operation, security, analytics, error diagnosis, abuse protection, and improving user experience.

Drafts, personal library, favorites and activity history may be retained until the user deletes them, closes the account, clears the project data or the feature is discontinued.

Public quotes can be kept longer as part of a publication archive, public showcase, image sitemap, Telegram publications and project history.

Technical logs are stored for a limited period of time, necessary for diagnostics, security and abuse prevention.

Backups can retain data for a technical period until the next cleanup.

Project data can be processed with the participation of:

• Telegram;
• hosting and CDN;
• databases;
• AI providers;
• services for generating images or cards;
• analytics and error monitoring services, if enabled;
• team members, editors, moderators and technical project administrators;
• payment providers if paid functions appear in the project.

We do not sell user data.

The user can request:

• access to their data;
• data correction;
• deleting drafts, personal library or Telegram link;
• deleting an account if accounts are enabled;
• correction or removal from publication of materials associated with the user;
• data export, if such a function is technically available.
